Rice Cereal...Yum City

Last Thursday we got the OK from the doctor to start rice cereal. I tried it myself and almost gagged for about 5 minutes. Thankfully, Lilly did not. Here's a video of her first feeding....

4 Months!

Lilly Jo was 4 months on Monday. What a blessing it has been to watch her grow and change in these few short months!

We went for her 4 mo checkup today and here's a quick update on "the pie" as we like to call her...

14lb and 1.5 oz (55%)

24.25in long (50%)

42cm head circumference (75%)

She has recently started laughing A LOT, but, only when dogs are barking loudly and jumping around. no joke. Thankfully, Wilbur and my sister's two dogs (Mika and Emma) do a great job at all 3 of those things. Especially when they're together. We've yet to catch it on camera, but hope to soon!

We'll be starting Lilly on rice cereal this weekend...and will definitely get that on camera. She eats about 6-8 oz 5x/day. She is still Miss Smiley, except when she's tired or hungry, or if you are cuddling her too much (sad). The girl LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to be facing outward looking at all the sights. She'd also rather be standing than sitting.

Lilly is quite the talker, and sometimes the yeller. It's hilarious. I could hardly talk to the doctor today because Lilly was talking so loudly. And because the doctor couldn't stop laughing. Can't argue with that though:) Lilly would also sit outside all day long if you let her. Just like Wilbur. I think they'll be 2 peas in a pod before too long.
We take a walk almost every night, which she enjoys immensely. Especially if it's windy. Takes her breath away but she loves it!

She sleeps on her side now and I imagine it's only a matter of time before she rolls onto her tummy. (Actually, as I type this she has rolled onto her tummy but can't get her hand out from underneath her!)
She sleeps about 10.5 hours/night, but would sleep longer if we didn't have to leave for work at the crack of dawn. Weekends are nice:)
Her mommy and daddy cannot get enough of her! We kiss and hug her all the time. Whether she likes it or not:)
